Rental Terms

1 · Eligibility and documents

Self-drive renters must be at 18 years of age and hold a valid Nigeria driver’s license. Before handover we verify your driver’s license.

2 · Handover and return inspection

Every rental begins and ends with a documented, photographed inspection which both parties acknowledge. The handover record, covering fuel level, mileage and existing marks, is the sole reference for the return.

3 · Reservation Deposit & Balance

A booking is confirmed once a 20% reservation deposit of the total rental cost has been paid. Until the deposit is received, the requested dates are not held, and the vehicle remains available to other customers.

The remaining balance is due within 72 hours of paying the deposit, or 14 days before pickup, whichever comes first.

If the balance is not paid by the deadline, the booking will be cancelled, the vehicle will be released, and the 20% reservation deposit will be retained. Any amount paid above the reservation deposit will be refunded in full.

4 · Security deposit

The security deposit is charged in addition to the rental, not deducted from it. It is displayed before booking, held separately, and never treated as revenue. It is released in full within 72 hours of a clean return inspection. Where damage, fines or excess mileage are recorded, itemised costs are deducted with evidence provided, and the balance returned.

5 · Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Keyhaven Drive, cancellations made at least 72 hours (3 days) before the selected pickup date are eligible for a refund. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the selected pickup date are non-refundable.ƒ

6 · Chauffeur service

A chauffeured booking buys HOURS, not a full day. You choose your start time and how many hours you need, from 6 to 12, and you are charged for the hours you book.

The 12-hour ceiling is a safety limit, not a commercial one: no single driver covers more than that in a stretch, and none works around the clock.

On a booking of several days the same window runs each day: your driver arrives at the start time and stands down at the end time, every day of the rental.

If you need cover outside your chosen hours, ask before the rental begins and we will quote a second driver or an extended arrangement. Hours worked beyond the booked window are chargeable.

7 · Use of the vehicle

The vehicle may only be driven by the named renter or a Keyhaven Drive chauffeur. Interstate trips require prior written approval.

The following are strictly prohibited:

- Sub-letting or allowing unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle

- Racing or participating in any form of motorsport

- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

- Carrying illegal goods or substances

- Using the vehicle for commercial passenger transport

All Keyhaven Drive vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art GPS tracking systems to help protect our vehicles and ensure safe, responsible use.

8 · Late Returns & Extensions

A one-hour grace period applies to all returns. Returns made more than one hour after the agreed return time will incur an additional hourly charge.

If the vehicle is returned more than six hours late, a full additional rental day will be charged.

If you need to keep the vehicle longer, please request an extension in advance. Extension approval depends solely on the availability of the vehicle and the next booking.

9 · Insurance and incidents

All rentals carry comprehensive insurance. In any incident: ensure safety first, call the 24/7 line before any third-party negotiation, and do not admit liability.
